The Vusa Rugby Academy

The VUSA Rugby Academy is a Bishops (Diocesan College) initiative in conjunction with Calulo Investments (CEO: Bryne Ressell) which is hosted on Bishops grounds. VUSA is doing great work unearthing rugby talent in South Africa. Sikhumbuzo Notshe, (Wynberg Boys High School) part of the 1st XV of 2006 is one of VUSA's success stories.

Sikhumbuzo Notshe the current Stormers loose forward, was chosen to be part of the Sprinbok squad in 2016. He started playing rugby for a development academy in Langa called VUSA when he was still a boy. VUSA is still a thriving programme and is run by Brendan Fogarty.

Cape Town, 13 September 2017 - Bakkies Botha and a handful of other rugby legends played in a match in the Mother City as part of the Shoprite Group's efforts to help needy children in Langa.
